False Promises and No Growth Opportunities

Pros

• Remote Work Flexibility: The ability to work from home offers convenience and work-life balance. • Diverse Team Environment: Opportunity to connect with team members from various backgrounds. • Initial Hiring Process: The onboarding process is straightforward and efficient. • Mission-Driven Concept: The idea of supporting military spouses and remote workers is admirable (even if not always effectively executed).

Cons

Rude and Disrespectful Management: Leadership often lacks empathy and professionalism when addressing employee concerns. • No Support for Personal Emergencies: The company shows little compassion for medical or family emergencies. For instance, I wasn’t allowed to leave when my mom had a heart attack. • Rigid Policies on Time Off: Despite working two months to earn just two days of PTO, my request—submitted with three weeks’ notice—was denied. • Unsupportive Work Environment: Calling out for valid medical reasons is often met with resistance or pushback, creating unnecessary stress for employees. • Lack of Growth Opportunities: Minimal chances for advancement or lateral movement within the company. • No Constructive Feedback: Repeatedly denied roles without actionable feedback to improve or grow. • Feeling Undervalued: Employees are overused, underpaid, and not recognized for their contributions.
