OneBeacon has been a great place to work. I’ve always felt both challenged and supported. I will be starting a position with a new company at the end of this month but will take all that I’ve learned and the relationships I’ve made with me.

Cons

The company had been in transition for a number of years but that is mostly in the past at this point.

Everyone has been so friendly and helpful. I enjoy coming to work now and have enjoyed the pace of my learning experience.

Cons

Only downside I can see if coming into the office 3 days a week but it's not bad.

The salary was competitive for the position, but be prepared to work long hours to meet expectations. The STIP program offers a nice bonus, but the payouts seem inconsistent. Some employees in different territories report receiving significantly more than others, which can be demotivating The company boasts unlimited PTO, which sounds great in theory. However, the workload and company culture can make it difficult to take advantage of this benefit.

Cons

The company culture seems to vary depending on the manager. While some managers are supportive, there have been reports of a specific director with a more aggressive leadership style that can be intimidating. Some leadership positions lack strong mentorship skills. New hires should be prepared for a sink-or-swim environment under certain director. This director's leadership style may involve taking advantage of their position to claim credit for team achievements.
