All that said, there is a major drawback. There are very few women in leadership positions and even less beyond the Sr. Director level. It’s hard to feel valued in a place you aren’t supported. It really doesn’t send a stellar message to females nor help to attract and retain female talent. From the inside it seems like the company struggles to scale and attract/retain the right talent. A large portion of this, I believe is because of not just the normal issues a company goes through as it grows exponentially but also because of the antiquated policies that keep groups ciloed and forces women aside if they choose to take time for their families.
