Poor and unrealistic Management

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

Most of the people I worked with were great.

Cons

Management has unrealistic and lofty targets and does not care about the employees. No work life balance even though management says they value work life balance. Benefits are horrible and don’t even have summer Fridays. Tons of quality issues that are underplayed causing a huge recall and bad performance. Stock plummeting. Constant turnover in management and high turnover the teams causing unrealistic workloads and rework. Overall, company was much better under prior management but now is in a steady decline.

Pros

Plenty of opportunity to cross train and gain great skills. Overall management encouraging and proactive. Great pay, decent benefits, excellent hours with interesting, rewarding work. Most of the people working there helpful, professional and dedicated.

Cons

Gossipy, competitive co-workers. Three years after buy out by Integra LifeSciences, abrupt closure announcement. And just like that everyone out of a job. A month later CEO quits. They clearly have serious issues trying to run a business.

Corporate America

Pros

Salary for employees is fair market value.

Cons

They do not care about the individual. Primary interest is the financial gains made via corporate decision-making. Minimal collaborative efforts beyond those with a higher administrative title. You are not valued for your personal performance. Rating personal performance is driven by a mathematical formula. Despite documentation of going above and beyond the job description and being an exceptional employee, you cannot be rewarded appropriately. Not all people are held accountable to their job responsibilities. People who do the minimum are rated as valuable as those who excel.
