Exciting market - neurosurgery. Some cool products, and great engineers.

Cons

Cheap management, poor choices for leadership in Neuro at the time. Chris Thatcher was a joke as a leader insulting to almost every one he led and met.

You can probably work here forever with your 1-2% annual raises. Very stable job. Most of your work family is easy to get along with.

Cons

There's never enough money applied to fixing problems so the same issue plaguing you 6 years ago is still happening. Chronically short-staffed for the amount of work expected- but you don't have to let it bother you. Everyone else will have meltdowns around you. Being a satellite manufacturing site, it's nearly impossible to get support from the corporate headquarters unless it threatens to be a public problem (i.e. an FDA audit that doesn't go well). Then they all fly in to "support".
