Pros

Beautiful community with great reputation for care, food and activities. You are selling what you promise. Great residents. Great team. The CRM system (welcome home) is actually quite good, however I don't like SalesMail, I prefer OneDay.

Cons

Pay and benefits are poor. The commission structure is very low compared to the industry. They will pay a higher base but in the end you will end up behind. After working there two months they lowered our commission schedule! It was such a bait and switch! Their response was that we signed the original commission schedule that stated it can change at any time. That is horrible and deteriorates trust. I guess they think that sales people are easy to replace so they don't have to treat them well. This community will now be hiring their 8th Sales Director in just over 2 years, that is a lot of turn over. High Occupancy Bonus is also VERY low and barely an incentive. Benefits are also not good. DO NOT INVEST IN THEIR 401K, after leaving the company I have found out that I will LOSE money on this. Not because the market dropped, but because the COMPANY will charge me $50 to roll it over (no one does this and I was not aware of this when I signed up, probably buried in the small print) and also charges me a fee. This is supposed to be a way to grow and save money and instead it is costing ME money! You would be better off investing on your own. The company does not provide the sales people with company credit cards or cell phones even through you need to use both for your job. You either have to get "petty cash" or use your own credit card and fill out an expense report. It takes quite some time to get reimbursed. It's a really antiquated way of doing business. Metrics and expectations fluctuate.
