Bored out of my mind. A double edged sword company.
Pros
Working at this company has many perks, but I find these perks to count as cons, as well. The company has a very lax environment, which means you can get away doing whatever you want. This is good during slow days, but this acts as a double edged sword, hence the title. Easy as heck jobs. Literally no thinking required to do any of the tasks. Great people and culture. This pro is what makes working here worth your time. Little to almost no manager involvement with employees. Little supervision. But the managers are all kind and sweet.
Cons
The working environment is hardly stimulating, you don’t have to use any ounce of brain power to work here. If you can follow the procedures step by step on paper, you’re set. This may seem as a pro, but this bores you real dang quick and makes your hard-earned degree a waste. Absolutely underpaid. But because the environment is ridiculously lax, I think the low pay is fine, in a way. Last but not least, and just what everyone likes to read: No upward mobility at all. If you get in, put in a good year and get out before you brain shuts off from the incredibly dull working environment. Stay away if you are the type that’s eager and willing to constantly learn and do more throughout your career as a Biology or Chemistry grad. This is a “same thing, different day” company. I’ve been employed for about a year and a half I have not learned absolutely nothing new, since last year in August. I think that speaks for how stimulating this company is not.
