Pros

The work culture at IEL does a lot to keep people happy and working well together. In the IT department everyone is always willing to help each other and all feel excited about the project we are working on. IEL also provides great benefits and has lots of different events/activities that they put on for employees to enjoy!

Cons

Logistics is a faced paced industry so sometimes workload can be a lot, but the faced paced nature also leads to things always being interesting and never feeling dull.

- High potential earnings - Quick training that gets you on the phone in under three weeks - Most people are fun and nice

Cons

- Profit-focused, if you're not producing within 3 months they start getting pushy - Training is all over the place and the classroom is almost irrelevant to live work since you can work in a theoretically infinite number of ways - When asking for additional sales training they will instead doubt your skill and confidence - Must manage your loads 24/7, even at 1 a.m. on a Monday night - Extremely competitive market, over 21,000 3PLs so you'll hear "we get calls from 5 of your competitors per day" often - Being a brokerage, our rates are much higher than asset based carriers which makes winning bids difficult - Effectively all of the commission brokers making over 100,000 have been here for 4+ years so you must be patient - A high majority of initial loads were won because the broker happened to call when the customer needed help, luck is a large percent of your success
