Pros

The company continues to grow and offer opportunities to its employees. Most of the upper management team members were promoted from within. The company always tries to put the associate first and has a great set of core values that all employees can believe in.

Cons

Work/ life balance can be challenging depending on the time of year, but getting better.

They're Trying...But Too Little Too late

Pros

ISS seems to be trying to improve morale by initiating employee recognition and involvement. Unfortunately, the company culture is still lacking in regards to work-life balance, flexibility, training, and an overall sense of employee appreciation and trustworthiness. It's my sincere hope that senior management takes a deep look at those things that really matter to their employees and carefully plan their next steps to ensure the attraction and retention of the best talent in the market.

Cons

The work-life balance is basically nonexistent. The normal hours are 8:00-5:30 with no flexibility to allow for basic 'life-happens' situations. Although the normal hours are 8:00-5:30, there is a great deal of pressure and expectation to work much more without allowing for the flexibility to work adjusted hours or from home if need be. There is also a 'no work from home' policy, which if revoked, would create a less stressful work environment and allow employees to focus more on their work when actually working rather than stressing over the little life things that pop up.
