Pros

We build some very good products, so for a manufacturing company there is relative stability.

Cons

Over worked if you are a factory worker. I work three times harder now then I did 15-20 years ago, and I make less money adjusted for inflation. That's without factoring in rising gas prices! Intel doesn't believe in giving cost of living increases. That's okay if you're senior management and already making an excellent wage with nice perks to boot.

Pros

Industry leader. Develop good execution skills and data driven analysis.

Cons

Very aggressive, political environment. Lack of respect in interactions tolerated for employees who can otherwise deliver. Most people are good team players, but there are a number of a-holes. The company has not been the same since Andy Grove left the helm.

Pros

Intel is poised for changes under Ottellini, there are core groups that are involved with the cutting edge that are far more satisfied with their positions. If you are looking to work for Intel, you want to ensure that you aren't too many layers away from the core technology.

Cons

You feel like a cog in the wheel, too entrenched in values inscribed by Grove which are in some ways treated like the US constitution.
