On Boarding Process

Pros

On Boarding with Inter-Con from the Sunnyvale Hotel was awesome. I completed my application online and received instructions to bring my current identification, social security number, diploma, certifications credentials, security guard card, birth certificate, and passport. I was interview by one of Inter-Con Human Resource Representative, Keishawn and hired on the spot. Next, I was scheduled for training. The trainer's name is Nick. In four hours of training, I received a wealth of information, including my uniform 2 pair of pants, six shirts, belt, two in one jacket and shoes. At the same time, I received two apps for business purposes. After training, I received a call for shift and scheduling choices. I was able to select my own schedule and shift. I am pleased with the On Boarding Process.

Cons

On the downside, I believe employees spend too much time and resources terminating and seeking new hire, instead of monitoring and coaching employee.

Pros

Learning skills for future employment, working with Bob Smart

Cons

Faulty equipment, SLOW computers, promised gear but never provided, cliquish leadership, lack of acknowledgement for great performance, constant threats from leadership, selective policy enforcement, lying to guards, sneaky behavior by management, egomaniacal operations managers, promoting GREEN guards immediately because they know someone (Nepotism), PLATITUDES GALORE, lack of communication (leadership to guards, oncoming shifts, expectations), NO CURRENT (within YEARS) POST ORDERS, firing the wrong people, hiring the wrong replacements, recruiter lies to everyone, RETALIATION, no backbone with client so specialists suffer, favoritism, oversized pay gap between dispatch and field, and on... and on...
