Pros

Company has a world wide base. Looks good on your resume and will help you move on to a career. Company provides uniforms weapon vest and uniforms.. Some of the contracts are Fortune 500 companies and that really looks good on your resume.

Cons

This company has a very poor based management. You can not move up in the company unless you know somebody in management. Whether you have good or bad skills it does not matter. Majority of the officers they hire are very poor in there appearance, they have no real background in security and on top of that do not know what it means to work as a team. The pay is ok but they lure you into with a 40 Hour Work Week then they cut you down to 32 hours and break up your days off. If you are a family man or woman you will not get to spend very much time with your family. Management can care less if you are a family man or woman or if you are a single parent. This company has a very high turnover rate because they do not value their employees whatsoever. Be ready to be treated as a number and a warm body to just fill a post. This is somewhere you do not want to stay long if you are looking to make more money and be treated with respect. This company is a stepping stone and nothing more. Intercon CEO should be embarrassed with their management

Pros

The security industry is very competitive and a low-margin business. The clients are very demanding and unwilling to make an investment in personnel development. For those starting their careers, it's a great place to start and learn. However, as a long-term career it is difficult to move up as there are limited opportunities or the contract may fall to another vendor and you start over again in building your reputation and network.

Cons

The industry in general has a high turnover rate and the caliber of individuals, depending upon the contract, is not consistently high. As a result, there are those who tend to be the chronic malcontents. Granted if they had the ability, they would be in another industry or job. If you chose to be in this industry, be the best you can be and improve upon yourself if you are unhappy.
