Pros

If you work somewhere that doesn't produce a lot of radio traffic life is OK. If you work at Main State or NoVA, especially Main State, it can be brutal.

Cons

Working at main state? be prepared to work 12 hour shifts with no breaks until management can figure out how to recruit and run a contract. Working away from main state? The further away the better. Ditch that noise if you can. If you can't be an ESU or get your clearance and find a better job where they don't treat you like a maggot.

Pros

None. Zero. Zip. Nada. Not one pro about working here. I thought it was a scam when i first interviewed and should’ve went with my gut.

Cons

Where to begin? Management lies to you from jump. You schedule changes at the drop of a hat and you have no say. Take it or quit. They want you to lie to applicants. $1000 hiring bonus that is never given out. Hiring Bonus are promised then management says there was never a bonus. This comes from the Vice President. If you fight back with the truth you are threatened with getting fired.Toxic culture of fear and if you try to go to your direct managers or legal you will lose your job. I have seen it happen. Vice President has personal Relationships with people she promotes. So personal, thousands of dollars exchange hands to cover her personal mortgage and credit problems. Everyone knows but are so scared to get fired no one speaks up. VP has her direct reports spy on other employees. This sounds like so crazy it can’t be true but it is. All of it. In fact. I hope you do take a job here so you can see for yourself. Just a matter of time before someone sues for discrimination or things of that nature Or retaliation maybe it should be you! With Inter-Con security as well I have personally witnessed great talent get fired over and over again because the VP didn’t like them and she is so racists. If you are a security guard do not waste your time. You won’t get paid for training. You won’t get paid for any time you are required to stay on your post until relieved. You for sure won’t get your hiring bonus when the recruiters promise you will. All liars. This can all be backed up by current and ex employees.

Pros

You have lots of down time and it’s simple work. Anybody can do it.

Cons

Terrible supervisor. HR lies about confidentiality. You can get verbally assaulted by coworkers with no repercussions for them. Pay is awful. If you’re a woman the supervisor hates you. Will make you continue to work with Covid 19 until your relief arrives. Supervisor is terrible at scheduling. Everybody works overtime other than her. She gets every weekend off but refuses to let anybody else have them ever. Payroll is awful and will delete your hours worked and pto. Be prepared to call HR and be on hold for an hour. There’s barely any good sides to this job.
