Pros

Working under the old management, with Duncan Neiderauer as CEO, was great. Wonderful communication, open door policy with the CEO, great moral.

Cons

New management doesn't care about it's employees. They don't care to know you, or to hear about your situation. It's safe to say the majority of the current NYSE/ICE employees will be gone by year end. Horrible to see such a historical place crumble under new management.

Pros

Diverse exposure to companies and executives across numerous industries and sectors. The NYSE takes care of people first and business thrives as a result.

Cons

The culture has changed slightly in the months since being acquired by IntercontinentalExchange. The management is not quite as approachable with more of a hierarchy. Previous leadership held quarterly town hall meetings. These are no longer common practice. However, in time this seems to be gradually improving as the two different methods of management begin to coalesce.

Pros

NYSE have kept up with market rates for their salaried staff. Most of the line managers allow an amount of flexible working so long as the job gets done.

Cons

A lot of change going on as the company evolves through buyouts and takeovers.
