Pros

It might be suitable for people without any technical knowledge, as the management team appears to have secured their positions through relationships rather than technical expertise.

Cons

I have had an extremely unprofessional experience with the management at Interface in San Francisco. The managers lack professionalism and instead of encouraging and supporting their employees, they often talk negatively about them behind their backs. This creates a toxic work environment, and it’s disheartening to see managers speaking poorly of former employees rather than appreciating their contributions and recommending them. This behavior reflects poorly on the company’s culture and management style. For anyone considering a position here, be careful—it is a toxic company with a toxic group in both the Oakland and San Francisco offices.

Pros

Great work environment. People hear are very supportive both professionally and personally. The company supports a healthy work-life balance, and their policies reflect that.

Cons

There can be allot of last-minute crunches that require putting in extra hours and sometimes working very late, though this is more a characteristic of the industry than the company.

Pros

Interface Engineering is extremely organized and has policies and procedures that make your workflow seamless. Compensation is competitive and advancement opportunities are available, as long as you are capable.

Cons

Your personal workload can vary dramatically week to week, which is typical of the AEC industry. This can be challenging for people who prefer a consistent, predictable, workday. I am, personally, quite comfortable with this schedule, but I admit that it isn't for everyone.
