The cons at Interface are similar to most companies, and fortunately are not as drastic as other organizations.
Cons:
- Mission focus - if it isn't in line with the mission it IS NOT happening
- Lots of tenure - tenure is great, but some people are just here because they always have been and are maybe not the best contributors. There are also a lot of people who are set in their ways. We are seeing a little culture clash of old school and new school - but I think new school is winning!
- Manager discretion - it varies WIDELY based on location, role, and past expectations. It can be frustrating to watch some teams work from home 3 days per week with no problem, while other teams aren't allowed to at all or unless they have an appointment or something. When I say that a lot depends on your manager, I mean it.
Also note that working in the Atlanta office/HQ is very different than La Grange or Acworth facilities. They all have elements of their own culture and I can only speak to the environment in the Atlanta office.
