Pros

Interfolio has managed to build a team of people who love working there. This is the first place I've ever worked where I genuinely enjoy working with all of the other people in the company. The start-up culture is enthusiastic and forward-thinking, and there is a lot of opportunity for professional growth. The team leads encourage initiative and taking chances and you're free to explore new interests and build your skills. Whenever management has made a tough decision like letting someone go, they've been up front about their reasons and made it easy for the rest of the team to ask questions. I trust the leaders implicitly and have yet to see them make a choice I disagree with.

Cons

Interfolio is a growing start-up, so there are a lot of changes in team organization and pivots in the product design, so you have to be adaptable to keep up.

Pros

Efficient aggregation of job application materials including confidential records.

Cons

Most of what they do is fully automated yet they still delay application transmission at unpredictable intervals and they charge way too much. They will soon go the way of the dodo if they can't demonstrate their value to the people paying the bills.

Pros

Collaborative and talented colleagues- everyone genuinely wants to help each other out. Have not felt intimidated bringing up issues to upper-level management or team leads. Growth opportunities are there/have increased since I began and managers generally want everyone to be successful in their roles. Lots of cross-collaboration between teams. The company has listened to major pain points around internal and external-facing processes not been well-documented, and all teams and management roles have made demonstrated efforts to make things better for teams and those carrying out day-to-day tasks.

Cons

Compensation is below market value for most major metro areas- makes it difficult to keep up with how expensive food, housing, etc. has become in the past 3 years. Internal culture has taken a bit of a hit with the acquisition- more responsibilities and more ambitious goals have been added to teams' plates, but not enough compensation, time, or resources to make it all happen, leading to employee exhaustion/burnout. It would be nice to shake off the "start-up" mentality in favor of more stability and balance to employees' well-being and work towards sustainability for goals and employees.
