Pros

Interfor has a great company culture, very safety oriented in the mills, and very open to hearing new ideas/opinions on how to do things. Work is challenging and open-ended a lot of the time, leaving much room for creative solutions. Regular encouragement to get out into the mills and see how things are done and get an idea for daily operations.

Cons

No real flexibility in terms of working hours - company has an old-school "arrive early, work late" sort of mentality. The locations may not be ideal depending on your preferred living arrangements.

Pros

It's a job.. Decent benefits. Lots of new paint and safety rails. Proud company. Lots of mill upgrades. Management always walking around.

Cons

More people work in the front office than in the sawmill.. Cut all overtime. Works an 8 hours shift 5 days a week. Doesn't value its employees.
