A Short Experience

Pros

Outstanding Benefits, especially pay, dental, and vision. Health benefits are around normal. Outstanding support if you go out on sick leave. Really are a safety first culture that genuinely cares for their employees physical well being.

Cons

Expect long hours as a salary maintenance person. In fact, you will basically give a blank check for your time. It would be difficult to, say, plan a diner night out during the week, in advance. This is mainly due to the current poor condition of mill equipment. In fairness to IP, they are making considerable capital improvements to address the issue, however they aren't there yet. Management culture can be on the hostile side, especially around unplanned equipment breakdown events.

Compensation is very well for the area.

Cons

Large company and too many people get stuck/overlooked.
