Pros

Benefits are above average and a wide variety of health plans are offered. Long Term Disability, Life Insurance and a good matching 401K is offered.

Cons

Just another warehousing logistics job. Managers are sub par along with mist of the labor field. Everyone seems to carry a chip on their soldiers and not thankful for what they have. At 20 bucks and hour for driving a truck and 18 for working in a warehouse the workers need to perform much better. Moving up in IP can be difficult unless you have a job which allows you to converse with many people.

Pros

The pay and benifits for working with IP is a definite positive. With the exception of shiftworkers, flexibility of hours to fit your home life are is also a positive. International Paper does well at family and community relations. They go out of their way to do the right thing when it come taking care of employees and employee families.

Cons

Most managers at IP do not seem to relate to hourly workers. Communications from salaried to hourly workers, and hourly to salaried workers is poor at best. Like most U.S. based companies, Inernational Paper is downsizing regularly. The impact on employees and community are always going to be a "downside".

Pros

Continued employment provides a lot contentment. Such a large company gives a lot of different job opportunities.

Cons

In such a large company it is very easy to get lost and not have our value seen by others that might allow for upward mobility.
