Pros

I have met lots of great people out on the road. I have learned a tremendous amount about sales and the automotive industry. The physical part of the job helps keep you in shape. Keeping track of over 200 accounts has helped my management skills.

Cons

The owners are terribly unprofessional. Pay based almost completely on commission is not good when working for dishonest people. The physical aspects are not good for the long term health of your back. The health benefits are useless when you can't take any time off to use them. There is not much room to move up due to complete nepotism. The product has gone down in quality recently, making it harder to sell. There are no consistent policies from management, making it difficult to make decisions.

Some Good, Some Bad

Pros

- Great teammates - Some very caring and considerate people - Pockets of incredibly talented and hard working people - Decent work life balance, IF you have a good manager

Cons

- Obtuse, incompetent senior management - Management leaves you hanging, won't support you when the decisions they make you implement fail; They delegate failure and take responsibility for success - Cronyism; Hiring senior management from the same pool: Dr. Pepper Keurig, Oldcastle, Builder's Choice - Hire based on who is your friend, not whether they can do the job

Pros

It was great having a chaplain's department that actually cared about your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, and the benefits weren't bad.

Cons

The workload is completely unmanageable, and management refuses to bring on additional help. Being roped into meetings at 11:00 pm, working weekends and then not receiving time off during the week, no potential to move up, unlimited PTO is a joke, and "management by walking around" just to name a few.
