Pros
Interstate Batteries has an amazing culture and wonderful people that are very knowledgeable in their fields. My co-workers and the various teams I worked with were always very kind and we got along well. It's a fast paced environment and there's lots of opportunity to work on diverse projects and get good experience.
Cons
Heavy workloads on multiple teams that could stand to add more members to provide the needed support. The amount of work I was expected to complete to meet deadlines shocked me and I like to stay busy. I was putting in at least 10 hours of overtime each week if not more and I never felt comfortable taking a lunch due to the workload. Leadership wants you to stick to a 40 hour work week while completing 50-60 hours worth of work. My leader was knowledgeable about the business but absent among the team, regularly canceled meetings, only chimed in to give criticism and gave little encouragement.
