Pros

Quality of product is good. Potential technology and responded to excel.

Cons

The franchise I worked for is family owned and operated in an extremely tacky and unprofessional manner. The owner talks down to and belittles employees regularly and even his daughters, in front of other employees and even in front of customers. The owner and daughters, bad mouth Interstate corporate employees and processes. I could go on but in short, it may or may not be a great corporation to work for but this particular franchise is a complete joke.

Pros

Great co-workers (diverse, interesting group of people). Every year they have several unique and fun events that everyone attends either as a department or as an entire company; they made for good breaks from the daily routine. Managers are genuinely concerned with your welfare (within the context of business challenges) and are considerate of family-related situations.

Cons

The company has been going through significant internal reorganization of its business structure due to the changing market environment and that has created much confusion internally and produced constantly changing priorities. Such an environment is not conducive to quality IT results. The company has always had some legacy applications that need to be replaced and efforts to retire some of the critical ones have been slow going due to resistance by employees who have been there for many years. This impedes any efforts to implement new applications or technologies.

Pros

- Concept of Purpose and Values (in writing - not acted on). - Entrepreneurial nature of the company/ground-up innovation.

Cons

- Do not live up to their lofty values AT ALL - it is rare to see someone who does. - Supporting departments (accounting, payroll, and marketing) will be rude to you, talk down to you, and generally treat you like dirt. - Leadership in certain divisions are lost. The VP is unaware of certain directors taking too much control and then not following through on anything. - Good luck getting a phone call returned or even answered.
