      easy work but unpredictable hours

      pay is decent. work is easy. bosses are nice. very little supervision

      Cons

      inconsistent hours. long periods of not working. Really hard to call in sick or take any time off. not very good communication with company. Company did not educate me about my job before I started.

      Pros

      While Intertek strives for excellence in customer service.

      Cons

      While striving for excellence in customer service, the company epitomizes the large soul-less company that has no commitment to its employees. In the end, that lack of commitment reverberates back from the employees to the company. There are a LOT of unhappy people there.

      One of the strangest professional experiences

      Pros

      Managed very large account with very little oversight.

      Cons

      Sales strategy changed on a weekly basis, people were treated disrespectfully, and there was no formal review process. Was given no notice and let go 4 days before xmas without any formal warning. Apparently this happens every year so the top execs. can cut cost to ensure a higher profitabiltiy so they could get their bonus.
