Management & Appraisals: Reporting managers hold disproportionate control over performance reviews and resource management. This is problematic when managers who are struggling with their own performance or ratings are given full authority over a subordinate's career path, leading to unfair appraisals and the loss of talented staff. Program Management: Delivery leadership needs significant improvement. On major accounts, program management often lacks the technical and strategic competence required to lead teams effectively, resulting in avoidable project friction.
