Pros

Great benefits, great founder, if you are from Stanford, Harvard or Kellog - you are king even though you may not know anything about Tech or SaaS.

Cons

No Career growth, managers are more like individual contributors, have awful maternity benefits. Have terrible vendors who manage health and leave benefits Managers want to do our job and will throw us under the bus as needed

Pros

Great work/life balance in TurboTax. Heavy lift in tax season then everyone seems to go on vacation. Very collaborative. Good people in technical and most manager roles

Cons

Bad apples in Sr. Leadership ruining the bunch. Little support from corporate infrastructure Force you to drink the corporate "kool-aid" or you don't fit Very tight-fisted with money on the job yet Sr. Leadership lives luxuriously wine meetings, dinners at high-end restaurants, quarterly retreats - lots of stuff that doesn't help the employees get work done.

Pros

Company is trying to move into the SaaS space which makes sense Fair compesation

Cons

Company retains really poor talent in positions of power from Management all the way to VP level Really poor work life balance due to the remote location False reality of choice to work in different offices No way to advance without managers leaving/dying Yearly layoffs Too much politics and not enough work Things move at a snail's pace Poor management leads to inability to have career advancement
