Pros

They really do mean it when they say "work-life" balance. I get a lot of work done, but I don't have to work late hours to do it. I have the equipment and resources I need. I love the team I work on. The benefits are the best I've ever seen. They really make and effort to keep people happy here. One of the things that surprised me when I was interviewing was how much emphasis they put into making it a very positive interview process. I didn't have to sit through six people asking me the same questions. It was all coordinated so that different people were asking different types of questions.

Cons

Finance software doesn't always get you excited. While I love the mission of what we do -- helping people with their financial work -- it's not always the most exciting software to work with. It's not like we're Apple or Google and breaking the mold on so many things. Also, there are a lot of people who have been here a looooong time (one of the things about retaining employees is that they stay) and sometimes it's hard to get them to accept new ways of doing things. It's a challenge sometimes, but one that can be overcome with effort.

Pros

Intuit is very open about it's core values as a company, and day to day decisions are made that reflect these core values. Most focus is in solving for our customers and our employees. When a decision is made, its made based on improving customer satisfaction and employee productivity. I've grown more as a leader in my first year at Intuit than I did in 7 years prior. Leaders invest time and energy in developing the employees, training is available and encouraged, and our time is respected. Innovation is highly encouraged, with time allocated for innovation projects and periodic contests/events around innovation.

Cons

Some decisions could be made faster

Pros

Intuit pays well and there is an abundance of challenging work. Certain managers really seem to care about your professional growth and general morale at the office.

Cons

Certain managers in upper management push their employees around whenever needed, relocating them on a moments notice simply because it's more convenient that another team sit together. There are some very slow organizations which often cripples any hope of innovation.
