I can tell that Intuit is truly a great company to work for if you have a more specialized role, probably one that is not customer facing. Even the call center employees are treated better than average, but that isn't saying much if you've worked in a call center before. The interview was very much about how this isn't a "traditional" call center with stats and managers breathing down your neck, but as the payments division grows, it's becoming apparent that it's moving in that direction, somewhat. It is probably a necessary evil, as a lax call center environment can be abused by some workers, but it was too much for me, and I left. I also did not like how there is not much room to grow there, unless you have been with the company a long time. The payments division is growing, but there are so many talented people (kudos to HR for getting your hands on them, for sure!) that there's ALWAYS someone there to snap up even a lateral move before you can think about it. Unfortunately, even adding more responsibilities to your job without a pay raise for a break in the monotony is difficult because there are so many people that have been waiting longer and probably want it more. If you thrive in a call center environment, you will like it, and you will probably think that it is better than other call centers because it is. But if you are looking for something that is not like a call center job, make no mistake: this pretty much is, despite being with a great company or all of the very alluring benefits.
