Pros

The benefits are unmatched elsewhere. Performance case bonus is generous. RSU is great *If you get to keep your job for the next 4 years. Wonderful incentive package for new hires.

Cons

Yearly layoffs It's not about performance, it's about meeting $$ at the end of the year. New executive and upper management leaders are bring in undesirable cultures that is not reflective of the core values. Forget about internal mobility. You have greater chance of getting a job coming from outside.

Pros

High pay, smart people, strong business performance.

Cons

They recently started forcing 10% of all employees to the bottom performance rating. Those given the bottom rating are forced out once per year (if not forced out, given no bonus or equity at the annual review). There are no exceptions to the policy. Forced ranking has been a massive failure at every company at which it has been tried (see Microsoft and GE). Forced ranking results in unhealthy competitive dynamics and the forming of in-groups and out-groups. The toxic politics can now be felt all the time at Intuit. I believe forced ranking is quickly killing the culture.

Pros

Great benefits and general work-like balance

Cons

In my organization, the culture is not collaborative but competitive due to top-down management pressure to let go of the bottom 7%. Makes feeling valued here minimal and don't actually support internal mobility.
