      Mixed experience - Ion Business Unit

      Good products / product teams Strong growth Strong sales team Compensation / Equity

      Cons

      Marketing is reporting into sales. Product management works in silos in business units. Product management / marketing not a priority. Plenty of interpersonal and business tensions. Ion business unit has had an unfilled director of product management role for 18 months. Previous person left after 12 months. Current director was a chosen from within because they could not find anybody and has low EQ.

      Excellent team addressing an important need with a robot-assisted endoluminal approach.

      Cons

      Feedback on performance seemed delayed and left to the end of year instead of addressing any concerns as they came along.
