      Heaven for technical innovators and trailblazers.

      Pros

      Intuitive Surgical is a heaven on Earth for technical innovators and trailblazers. I worked with some of the best minds and hands during my tenure. I wore many hats, leading, following, joining as needed. The company has a very bright future!

      Cons

      Work life balance can sometimes be taxing, but what is fun without challenges?:-) A side effect of being on the forefronts of technology is that you have to work on shaky grounds and unproven lands, on uncertain tasks, with dynamic teams. Hence career progression may come slower than normal.

      Pros

      Innovative technology, well-managed financially speaking, minimal competitive threats, competitive compensation, ideal organization for engineers, good employee stock options program.

      Cons

      Old boys club in mid and upper management, engineers rule everything while other departments are not valued or appreciated, poor support/resources for working parents (e.g. on-site or corporate discounts for daycare, work time flexibility), no match for 401k.
