Pros

Large company good for resume! Pay is comprable to other companys in industry. Results oriented career advancment possible if your willing to work long hours/weeks

Cons

Bonuses are unattainable loyalty not viewed as good reason for promotion they only care about boosting revenue regardless of how you do it

ClubCorp has the appearance of a somewhat prestige and exclusive brand, which can be leveraged for personal-branding gain. There are a lot of good people at the clubs who work hard for their members.

Cons

Lack of real commitment to the needs of the membership. Generally, at the corporate level, it views the membership as if it were raw ore from which to extract all valuable assets.

Pros

The work team at Country Club of Gwinnett is a small unit which allows for friendly, family-like bonds. The management team is easy-going as long as goals are met and works closely with the employees. The golf course which surrounds the club is very esthetically pleasing and makes for a great working environment, for people who like being indoors or outdoors alike. A banquet room is available is available for rent by the hour for weddings and special occasions (birthdays, luncheons, etc...) and the catering is handled by the food and beverage manager who is also a chef.

Cons

Schedules aren't very flexible, as most servers are part-time and have other obligations (school mostly). The number of customers is directly tied to the "golf season" (i.e tournaments, events etc...) so the club can be packed for a special occasion and relatively empty for the next days. Upward mobility isn't to be considered when starting work there as the place is small and doesn't require a big management team.
