Pros

- Fast-paced environment - Large team with leaders - Potential to make a lot of money from sales revenue

Cons

I worked as an Event Sales Director at a club for Invited and wish so badly that this was a better company to work for because I enjoyed my job. However, corporate did consolidate their regional team during my time at Invited which made each seller lose a lot of support from the regional level. Our club also experienced some sexism issues as well as harsh management style that was brought to the corporate level and were ultimately ignored. I enjoyed my day to day but the corporate and leadership made me decide to leave the company. In addition to this, Invited does not offer many benefits (i.e. no parental leave, no 401K match, etc.) There is also little to no training provided for onboarding. When I put in my resignation notice, I was the only one to train the new Event Sales Directors - no upper management or regional provided onboarding or support. Unfortunate for such an exciting idea and job to ultimately be not pleasant to work for.

Pros

You learn a lot, because you have to be resilient to be successful.

Cons

The CEO will remind you every town hall meeting that you are there to serve the clubs, but fails to understand that happy employees provide the best service. How do you have happy employees? Treat them well. Pay fair wages, not just certain departments. Value all departments and seek to ensure they all have a place at the table. If you do not value a department, get rid of it. Can’t get rid of it? Hmmmm, maybe that department if more important to the organization and a little more appreciation by way of wage increases would help show true respect and appreciation for what we bring to the table. If you can’t be bothered to fight for us, don’t get upset that we don’t want to pour more into our jobs. Why would I kill myself for a company who does not value me. I get paid to do a job and I have more in my life that defines me than my job. Regarding wage increases, CEO believes that only government agencies give cost of living increases. So interesting, because many publicly traded companies give standard cost of living increases every year. He just spews nonsense to feed his own narrative. Can’t imagine the executives have stayed the last few years with no increases, including the CEO. Stop making idiotic jokes about the”Glass tower” and trying to make it a thing. It is dumb and completely devoid of any understanding of how your employees feel. The physical location of the offices are alienating entire departments and teams. It is not a joke, those of us still at 3030 do not feel valued by you or your team. It is a clear delineation of who you value and don’t. Why put my heart and soul into a company who thinks my role is of little importance. Treat me like an insignificant cog in your system, and I treat my job like a paycheck. And don’t get bent out of shape when you realize that we do not feel a deep passion for our jobs, you could change this, but choose not to. Actually, with no “merit increase fund” being established, I can focus more time on my time away from work without guilt or worry that I need to spend more time to earn my increase....so maybe that should be a pro. Another gem of a comment from the CEO was on the holiday town hall. When introducing yet another new executive, he made a joke about the particle board covering of the new execs office window that they told him was where the previous office occupant jumped out the window. Really? And all the execs laughed and laughed.
