Pros

Reasonable Benefits. Access to Club amenities. Actual on-site co-workers were a pleasure to work with.

Cons

The company largely suffers largely from the fact that individual Club's are treated and expected to act like individual "businesses" but are never given the ability or tools to really operate in this manner. In my experience individual Clubs feel like islands unto themselves largely, and corporate feels more like an antagonistic entity rather a supporting element. As a whole you never feel like you're an employee of "ClubCorp" so much, as your individual Club entity. Virtually no support for Onboarding or development. The amount of turnover I saw of other department heads was often a direct result of the dearth of any sort of support to individuals coming into the ClubCorp ecosystem. Not a shocker that many become dejected quickly.

Management through "Osmosis"

Pros

Great members, a pleasure to work with

Cons

No concern for safety, they do not listen. You tell them something, and they look at you like "Why are you telling me". No management skills, coupled with bad decisions on a regular basis. Inadequate direction or instructions for new employees No desire to understand and follow Clubcorp handbook. They would fail a handbook audit. Partners are expected to find shift replacements if sick or unable to come to work

Bad pay and worse management

Pros

Free golf is great. Getting to know the Members and co-workers. Cheap lunches and can order from menu. Corporate support.

Cons

No pay raises, and low pay in the market. Bad club level management (GM) that only cares about numbers rather than treating staff and members with care and respect. Basics overlooked daily.
