Pros

There are many wonderful people who work for Ivanti.

Cons

Anyone serious about advancing their career should look elsewhere. This company is a mess! Multiple acquisitions that have not been handled or integrated correctly make working here a nightmare. The executive team is all over the place. Communication between departments is non existent. The US Sales team hasn't hit their quarterly target in over 6 quarters and very few people hit their sales goals and make money at Ivanti. The sales executives are all talk, no action. The Sales Operations team is lead by a soda-pop salesman with no actual experience or desire to help the team succeed. You will not be trained and you will not be set up to succeed. The culture here is dominated by male, religious, zealots who run in packs. Some people matter, and you're not one of them. The HR team hands out performance improvement plans like candy whether they are deserved or not. This company spends more money than they actually make. There is a reason that Landesk, now Ivanti has been passed around to so many investment companies through the years. They are dead in the water and will continue to fail under the current, old-school management style. HR sanctioned harassment of employees is embarrassing and should not be tolerated.

Pros

-Good culture (at the South Jordan, UT office anyway). Everyone is very accepting, and it was easy to fit in. I actually miss the culture here a lot, but had to move on. -Branching off of culture, something I realized since I've been at my new job for half a year now, people at Ivanti won't assume the worst of you like so many office dwellers out there love to do. It drives me crazy when people who don't understand your job automatically assume you don't do much. Ivanti isn't like that... I really appreciated the straight-forwardness they had. As long as your job got done, and you were a team player, no issues with perception. -Great coworkers. Some of my best friends work there. They have some brilliant employees that need more recognition. -They pay pretty well, especially for support. I never felt like I wasn't making enough. -Good work/life balance for the most part. -No micro managing. You're a big kid now.

Cons

-Products are now confusing. I felt this was more organized back in the Landesk days. Too many products... a lot of them do similar things. Makes for a bad experience for the customers. For example, when you go to in 'n out, you don't see 50 different burgers on the menu, do you? ...Nope... -Not a ton of opportunities depending on where you are in the company. It unfortunately made sense for me to move on. I simply wasn't progressing any longer. It was a tough decision, but for the best. -Benefits are pretty terrible compared to some other companies. Same for PTO (coming from a support engineer perspective). -Expectations are sometimes a bit extreme when you're in support. It's not a job for the lazy out there. You'll work a lot. I see this as a pro and a con though, as I'd rather be busy than not.

Thank you for providing us with your feedback. Our people are truly what makes Ivanti a great place to work, and we are always looking for ways to improve our work environment. We are sorry to have lost you. We do try to provide employees opportunity to develop and advance their careers within the Company. Although our benefits aren’t extravagant, we regularly benchmark our packages to ensure that what we offer is very competitive in the market. You’re right in regards to our product names--our product offerings have been in flux due to us making the consolidations necessary following multiple acquisitions over the past few years. Unfortunately, this is one of the negative side-effects of rapid growth. Sometimes the right decisions for the business in the long run can often have some negative implications in the short run. If you would like to discuss your feedback further, please feel free to email hr@ivanti.com.

Terrible Terrible Company

Pros

They have a great coffee machine. There are a couple of employees that really go above and beyond to help. The paycheck was nice. There are better options out there.

Cons

Where to start? During the interviews I was lied to about training and benefits. There is no training other than a really long unedited video, which is from the customers perspective. Nothing to do with troubleshooting. Their benefits are the worst in the Springs. There was no choice, either you take the high deductible, or no insurance. I have paid more out of pocket with this plan than I have in the previous 10 years of employment. It's almost as if we were hired to just put butts in the seats. There is really no good plan for employee recognition, other than the ability to give someone 6 dollars a month. The employees pretty much rule the roost, and there are a few who really take advantage of that. Management really has no clue what is going on. The names of the products change constantly. So good luck with the customers trying to figure that out. The saying is it will take you at least a year to get a grasp on your job. There is also the standard "You're salary so we expect you to be able to work outside of work hours, but if playing the Salary card benefits you, you wil get lectured." If I could rate this company as no stars, I would.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your perspective. Ivanti has experienced rapid expansion and while that does provide many with tremendous opportunity for growth and advancement, you highlight some of downside as well. Your feedback validates many of the actions we have already undertaken to update some of our programs and processes to better meet the needs of employees. And you’re right in regards to product names – our product offerings have been in transition due to the consolidations that become necessary following multiple acquisitions in a brief period of time. Some of the most beneficial business decisions for the long run can often have some negative implications in the short run. While salaried employees are often required to work more than 40 hours a week, we hope that the flexibility we also offer enables employees to manage where and when they work so that no one feels taken advantage of. We encourage you to contact a member of our HR team to provide more specific information. Please feel free to email us at hr@ivanti.com.
