Pros

CDL drivers seem to be treated well.

Cons

I have never felt so devalued or belittled by a corporation in my life. When they say they're a people company, its bogus. They're a shareholder company. This is fine but stop pretending you're anything else. JB Hunt currently has too many office employees, particularly within the brokerage division. Rather than lay people off, the HUMANE thing to do, they force people to quit by making them utterly miserable and setting unrealistic goals. They famously don't believe in remote work and I can speak from first hand experience that's not because "we're better together." It's due to the archaic mindset that a corporation owns your time. The benefits: for a $15 billion dollar corporation, their negotiated healthcare insurance is trash. I have never paid more out of pocket healthcare expenses, despite having the "premium" healthcare plan. There is also no full paid parental leave. Advancement is non existent unless you want to move or move to Arkansas and that's only if you're willing to tow the line. Beware independent thought is not welcome here.

Pros

-Decent work life balance -Lower Management for the most part is good -Good work environment to learn depending on team -Inclusive for LGBT people (on paper) -Not as bad as amazon

Cons

-Middle-Upper management seems to get somewhat cut-throat -Some managers have verbally abused employees -Business dictates what deliverables the programming teams must do, and when certain tech asks aren't feasible, they don't shift deadlines to accommodate development issues -Started corporatizing and becoming less worker life centric, and increased emphasis on deadlines and deliverables that can be unrealistic -Company seemed open and honest about taking workers ideas at first, but is growing further disconnected from staff

Pros

None I could recollect, Big Bldg's

Cons

1) Engineering & Technology doesn't follow any Workplace policies, mostly works on Skin color, Bossism, and favoritism. 2) NEXT tag products are big failure, end of each product failure after 2-3 yrs Design development effort, instead of introspecting the failure points, top mgmt always do blame game on Developers and sacking them even without giving time for explanation 3) No proper ethics, work culture, we could see Racism at least in E&T division 4) HR is a dumb team always rely on Project mgmt feedback, don't consider employee feedback at all 5) Employee surveys are just eye wash and name sake only, no proper action from HR side 6) Immigration is another dumb team, they make immigrant to do a Bonded labor when it comes to Green card processing 7) Work place rules involving Team mgmt, HR, Immigration are just paper sake only not on implementation level 8) Agile practices in this company is a big time joke, PO's and Project mgrs will dictate the Agile ceremonies making Application teams to sit day and night, including on PROD pre/post Release 9) There are few White mgrs coming from Non IT background (especially from NEXT - Shipper and other legacy side) and dictating on their own terms, i can mention one such group deputed by HR team whenever they want to get rid of Employees 11) When mgmt want to layoff due to failure product(s) and budget issues, they choose Back door weekly or biweekly terminations instead to skip Labor policies compensation settlement 10) Experienced IT professionals stay away from this company
