Pros

Reasonable work/life balance. There are always times that are exceptions, but it was not the cultural norm at JBH to work excessive overtime. Many employees with long tenure and lots of pride in the organization. Great business partners that are passionate about the work.

Cons

Restrictive salary rules and limitations caused loss of high potential talent. As of 2016 the company was still a waterfall shop. Previous attempts at Agile were small grassroots efforts. New procedures implemented in 2016 further solidified a classic waterfall approach to large project management with heavy process and documentation.

Pros

The people are good to work with. The hours are flexible. If you like wearing a lot of hats this is a great place. You will do most of the analysis on a project then design and construction.

Cons

Hard work isn't recognized. You have to fight to get a good salary and promoted. Also the whole IT department is not funded enough. People are assigned unrealistic timelines. It's almost like IT management is afraid to be honest with the business about resources and time.

Pros

safety? maybe... you have a crappy job? really I cant think of of any pros...... if you are doing a manager trainee, expect to be walking around a warehouse wrapping fridges and unloading fridges majority of the day

Cons

- horrible management from the top to the bottom - low pay - only 60 hours for a supervisor, that's a good week .. going home early - modern day slavery - supervisors wrapping up fridges 5 hours a day or more - boring hot/cold warehouse they hire ex-military people with a degree, thinking we are just stupid and work like slaves If you are a new college student that is just looking for a job, skip this one... trust me this one will ruin your life This company is the definition of a modern day slavery
