      Pros

      Potential for career development, you can move from a Trainee, to Supervisor to Account Manager within 1 year. Supervisory experience on your resume. Work with hard working coworkers, receive continued industry training. Company truly cares about and lives Safety.

      Cons

      They give you the title of Operations Supervisor, however your role is that of a dispatcher. Office conditions at this specific account were poor, portable trailer, slow internet, dirt fills the trailer daily, portable toilets. Drivers have all the power as the company values them more than Supervisory positions. 24 operation, with supervisor expected to work 4, 12 hour shifts. Compensation is much lower than industry standard in this geographic area.

      Pros

      Upper management is focused on all the wrong things.

      Cons

      Overworked (required 9 or 10 hour days with no lunch breaks). Underpaid (compensation well below competitors). Benefits are horrible (high deductibles, etc). Zero work/life balance. You are expected to eat/sleep/breathe JB Hunt.

      Pros

      The lower level people, the ones that do all the heavy lifting, have been a joy to work with. These are the people that keep this company alive. Safety culture here is also top notch!

      Cons

      There is a lot of lip service where upper management just says what you want to hear to get the conversation over with. It is awful how they make promises and then don't follow through on it. It happens far too often and has led many people to look else where for employment.
