Pros

Some really smart people were in merchandising when I worked there. I learned a lot from the DMM / SVP level.

Cons

Was very clique-y, felt like your looks and where you went to school and financial status were as important as your work.

It’s ok

Pros

Flexible hours and decent pay

Cons

Management exhibits Favoritism/preferential treatment Pack on the hours when they need you (part timers working 9 hr shifts) Then cut your shift when it’s extremely slow. If you need a certain amount of hours/$$ per week you really can’t count on it. Little to NO training. Expect you to learn on the fly.
