- Awful politics: it doesn't matter that you know your stuff and work hard if you don't kiss the right bum. I've lost count of the amount of smart hard-working people I've seen that were let go of instead of the useless ones that just talk a lot and are best buds with the management. - Stingy and greedy: free food/snacks? No. Newly open gym inside the building? Pay loads for it. Free coffee? Sure but the machine is so bad, it will genuinely give you diarrhoea. As for salaries? At the bottom of this industry. The bonuses are such a joke. Meanwhile we get quarterly emails about how the company has had the best profits ever. - RTO? Yes, 5 days/week... but still not enough desks so you literally have to fight for it (I've seen people shout at each other for desks) - AI: the push for it is crazy. If you don't use it as much as they want, you'll be reprimanded. They track absolutely everything. And honestly, there are some tasks you could quickly do without AI. But they don't want that: they'd rather you waste hours/days, as long as you use AI and don't do it yourself.
