Pros

Trying to make a changes, turnover at leadership level. trying to improve benefits and compensation. good mission projects that I support. tenure in the organization is both a plus and minus. Many have been for a long, long time which is good but limits ability to be promoted and trying to make change.

Cons

senior leadership (petty, childish, and lie), feels like being back in HS. People make mistakes and do not do their jobs but get rewards and promoted. Everyone looks the other way if you are a favorite. Those that work hard and don't complain often are over looked.

Pros

Very talented researchers. Flexible regarding remote work. Good job out of grad school if you like gov't contracting. Great coworkers. Worked on high profile projects.

Cons

*Senior leadership culture is toxic. *I saw people cry at this job and I witnessed bullying. I experienced deliberate and intentionally intimidation from a leader here. This leader bragged about it. *I've seen senior leaders compete with each other for contracts (which is costly and divisive). *Deeply flawed business model (if you bring in money, you become a leader, even if you have no leadership skills). *If you want to advance, you must be willing to work unbillable hours, which forces you to choose between family and advancement. *There are so many really talented researchers here, but they are consistently undermined. *Pay is low compared to the competition.

Pros

They offer decent benefits and vacation.

Cons

Not enough opportunities to move up. No training opportunities. Management does not take the time to evaluate staff and discuss options for job enrichment. There is a very good chance of getting pigeon-holed in a job with this company that has to hope of advancement.
