Pros
1. Policy and procedures are great 2. Group leaders and Vice President want to make a better work environment, and they’re easy to talk to.
Cons
1. Expectations are not communicated evenly across the board. Leads to a lot of favoritism if you suck up, versus if you do your job great. 2. A lot of gas lighting and condescending language from middle management project managers. Some project managers talk down to Sr Project Engineers and on down to PE1’s using foul language. And this is not all project managers, but there are a few who make working for the JE Dunn Kansas City office not enjoyable. 3. Lastly, there is no diversity compared to the amount of employees at the Kansas City office. I’ve had to work under superintendents and project managers who make racist comments not aware that I’m around the corner or in the room. This also does not encourage a person to go up and beyond to communicate responsibilities. With all of that sides, these issues eventually beat me down over a few years to where I had to leave. If The Kansas City office ( Group Leader) could better evaluate Project Managers and get rid of the ones who create all of the issues above, Dunn would be a great place to work.
