Pros

-30% off eyewear -good health benefits if you work full-time -good chance to use/practice Japanese and other languages -A great place to network your social platforms and meet interesting people.

Cons

-HR will not help you if there is an issue with someone. They are purely told how to act on behalf of corporate. The HR lady basically told me herself that final decisions on handling matters are not up to her and are decided by corporate. -DO NOT COMPLAIN about anything or anyone. You'll be seen as a problem person and they will make you feel awful for bringing up obvious issues to embetter the work environment. They just do not care. -THE absolute WORST PART: If you complain about a matter that is a continuous conflict at the work place they will write you up for it. You will get written up for things you don't do wrong except speaking up is considered wrong here. JUST KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN. DONT TRUST ANYONE. NO ONE IS YOUR FRIEND HERE. -toxic work environment -lots of stressed people and lashing out happens a lot here. -They try to run the stores like in Japan, which doesn't stick well. -favoritism especially to the Japanese workers.

Pros

Meeting people, discounts, health benefits, dental benefits, medical benefits, commuter benefits, occasional outings, paid time off, direct deposit, breaks and lunches.

Cons

I am a firm believer that a company can only flourish with the right kind of team. This is a Japanese -based company that mostly recruits Japanese employees to work here in America. If you are Japanese, you are given more privileges and flexibility than any other ethnicity. You are favored more and are given more raises. Please reconsider applying here because it is a very toxic environment. They are always under staffed and making you work twice as hard at such little pay. You will not get a raise based on hard work and dedication. Instead, you will be evaluated based on a nickel and dime checklist. They also have a fast turnover of employees which makes you think why can’t they keep them here. It’s because Jin’s employees are unhappy and are treated poorly. Management will seem friendly at first because they will put on a facade to make you think otherwise. If you choose to speak your mind, they will see you as a threat or even a problem. They do not believe in the freedom of speech. Once you are seen as a threat, they will try to make you quit by playing childish games. Also, they won’t fire you because they don’t want to pay for unemployment. The entire management team has a lack of communication skills and they especially need help in this area. Also they do not hire the most capable person for the right position, that’s why they will not succeed. All the managers here need professional training as well as upper management. They lack confidence, knowledge and leadership! They have had countless of employees quit and it’s all due to how they treat their employees. If you understand this much, reconsider applying for Jin’s
