There has been a change in the reception system that the company used to work with, and it has completely taken a toll on the quality of service and customer satisfaction. The store runs just like a DMV, with a virtual queue that doesn't work with the high volume this store receives (not to mention that this location is incredibly short staffed).
Additionally, this store has some of the worst management teams I've ever worked with. Too often have I witnessed team members get berated at the registers by customers while a manager hides in the backroom doing minuscule tasks just so they don't have to deal with the mess on the floor. In times we need managers the most, they are nowhere to be found. The management team is also not very encouraging to its staff nor are they very good at actually communicating with the staff, and (from what I have observed) this behavior from management has promoted a culture of resentment and distrust between the management and the rest of the team. This job is also incredibly taxing mentally and physically, and it does feel like a joke sometimes when chaos ensues on the floor during our busiest days while the managers are sitting and laughing at something entirely unrelated to work in the break room. Holidays are also the busiest season for the company, so beware of extremely rude customers and a really disorganized management team.
