Pros

Company personnel are very friendly and sales team very supportive through the onboarding process. While I have many years of experience in sales, everyday is is something new and old skills aware rekindled and new ones are learned.

Cons

Benefits. While the overall package of benefits are good compared to other companies the cost is still high for an individual employee. Mostly healthcare. It is still unreachable and expensive even through an employer. I had to waive it because of the monthly premiums. Not saving anything except for a smaller deductible.

Thanks for the feedback. JK Moving Services offers a generous benefits package that includes multiple health insurance plan options to suit employees with different health care needs. The high deductible plan includes a Health Savings Account (HSA) option for which the Company matches contributions and with company-paid fees. Additionally, in 2017 there were no increases in premium for health insurance. For more information about which plan may be best for you and help comparing the cost of the plans, please reach out to our Director of Benefits & Wellness.

Pros

Have worked for 3 moving companies in the area. JK is the first to truly listen to employee needs. In addition to offering 401K and full benefits(not offered at either previous company) I have already seen changes based on employee suggestions for how to make the company better. In addition this is the first moving company I've worked for that pushes for employees to work normal hours and take time for family or life outside of the office.

Cons

Can get busy in summer, but that's the moving industry.

Pros

The friendly atmosphere here is excellent. The management "knows their stuff", are open to questions and they don't micro-manage. The work is stimulating and can be challenging. In the past I worked for large organizations, with thousands of employees. I like being in a smaller organization. There are education opportunities, as well as other benefits. I'm a relatively new employee and I plan to look into the education opportunities soon. We have the capability to work remotely, when needed. Overall, I really love working here at JK Moving and Storage.

Cons

The office can be a bit chilly during the winter cold days. A sweater at my desk helps with that. Also, we are allowed to bump the thermostat up a bit.
