Lots of learning opportunities, from internal and external training to cross-training. There is a lot of room to move up to higher positions because the company is continuously growing and expanding. The company paid for my professional certification.

Cons

The summers are crazy busy.

Pros

The summer is the time to make the most money. The company was also very understanding when it came to family and personal life. The owner takes his time to engage with employees.

Cons

Pay was not enough for me. Insurance rates were way too high. Winters are rough because the business slows down. This could be for a good 3-4 months.

JK offers multiple medical insurance plans to help employees choose the right plan for their situation. Although hours may vary, our full time employees average over 40 hours per week. The Moving & Storage industry is seasonal and as such, we hire a large temporary workforce during the summer, yet many employees still work overtime. Thank you for your feedback.

The moving industry is a seasonal business with peak moves occurring during the summer months. To account for this uptick in business, JK employees up to 200 additional employees company-wide during the summer. To keep employees engaged, various activities occur throughout the year such as ice cream socials, pot luck lunches, contests, and jeans weeks.
