      Pros

      Associates are respected and cared for. No empty words: true. In a recent RIF, associates received one month of severance per year of service, almost unheard of. Additionally, the company is providing outplacement services and full benefits during the severance period.

      Cons

      Depends on which business unit you are working for. In a recent RIF, the parent company and the shared services business unit were hit hardest. The downside of not working for the revenue generating units.
