Pros

Super easy to get promoted regardless of qualifications due to high turnover rate. Good salary for the demographic. Most people only work 7 out of 14 days and have 8 hours OT on every paycheck.

Cons

The tricky sales pitch when being offered a position that is M-F. Yes, it's a better hourly wage, BUT!! you end up working an additional 61 days out of the year and no longer have the overtime on the check that you get when you work on shift. . So basically you have more responsibility, work an extra 2-3 days a week, and bring home less money.. LGBTQ employees are seemingly immune from being terminated for fear of legal repercussions. .

Pros

There are a ton of wonderful people and Jabil definitely knows how to throw a party. Jabil prides itself on promoting from within, and definitely does, even if not for the right reasons.

Cons

I reported my manager through the integrity hotline for filling a position with someone who obviously had a conflict of interest (the person was on the interview panel for that position). The report went straight to the internal HR manager. HR exists to protect the company and Jabil is no different. To their credit HR did find wrong doing, but the person with the conflict of interest got to keep their new position. I don't know if the hiring manager faced any repercussions but HR assured me it was "handled". I should mention that everyone involved has been with the company for multiple years and have taken Jabil's yearly ethics training that covers exactly this type of scenario. Shortly after all of this I got the worst yearly review of my 6 year tenure that had flat out lies about me. The explanation I got was that "people above me" gave the feedback but not a single example was given. I was then laid off at the beginning of the year. I was the only person in the entire department that was let go as part of a RIF. I was a level 2 engineer, and even though the workload is exactly the same for all engineers they are still desperately hiring for level 1 and level 3 engineers.
