      Pros

      Bonus for picking up shifts $750 for extra shift. OT always available. Take part in new studies. Deal with very sick patients.

      Cons

      union ruins everything. Schedule is terrible and can never take time off. Have 3 education days per year that cant even be used because unit is short staffed. Pay so low compared to other hospitals. Have to pay for parking. Management is terrible they make it seem that you should be thankful and greatful to work at jackson; Always adding in more work but no extra help. Have a 4/3 schedule

      Patient population very sick, makes for a challenging but rewarding job. Management for the most part supportive.

      Cons

      Large hospital system so you can feel like you are just a number to them.
