Pros
1) Multi-disciplinary 2) Flexible working has been made easier that the past. Mainly do to COVID. Company unlikely to resume their previous stricter rule to flexible working after COVID. 3) Culturally diverse 4) International company that allows you to work on a wide range of projects locally and internationally.
Cons
1) Company too bureaucratical and takes a long time for things to get actioned or done by management. This also hinders getting new clients as they are risk adverse and like to stick to current clients. 2) Management does not listen to employees and is like other large public organization where you're just a number. 3) Heavily profit driven which impacts quality of work and employee well being. 4) Remuneration is typically below average industry figures. 5) Lack of mentoring and guidance at all career levels. 6) Poor scholarship program and recruitment of interns. 7) Lack of certain skills or reluctance to undertake certain task resulting in work having to be sub-contracted. 8) Lack of CAD software options as they want to be mainly Autodesk focused. 9) Company not particularly interested in keeping or growing the amount of local staff as they are more interested in filling those role by using overseas offices. 10) Company lacks opportunities for career growth, promotions and acknowledgements.
